Just a little bit about pearls. Pearls in different colors are produced by mollusks. These colors range from cream, white and yellow to silver, pink or black.
Many of the pearls have a primary as well as a secondary color. The overall color is called the body color. For example, a pearl that appears to be white, but when you inspect it closer, you may detect a rosy hue. The body color is then called white-rose.
The variations of color do not affect the quality of the pearl. However, note that color matching is important when you choose pearls for some earrings, necklaces or bracelets.
